He argued that since the train will have stops at Ludhiana and Ambala, Jalandhar should also be included, not only for the convenience of the people of Doaba region but also to increase revenue for the Railways. He expressed concern that the lack of a stop in Jalandhar for the previous Delhi-Katra Vande Bharat Express had been a source of disappointment for locals. Rinku pointed out that Jalandhar is a major station with a large daily passenger count and that the train's speed would be particularly beneficial for time-conscious traders and businessmen.
