I am surprised at seeing the low average speed of this train. It doesn't befit a VB train to barely qualify as a Superfast. Infact, in the old days, when Lucknow - Gorakhpur ICE used to run on a 110 kmph section too with lesser halts and no OT by VB in North India, it ran with 55+ kmph too covering ~280+ km.
If the track conditions in this area are so bad, why not a regular 20 coach ICE train running with WAP-5 and packed with 8 AC and 11...

Back in the day, the Lucknow - Gorakhpur ICE train used to run at 110 kmph even with fewer stops and no interference from VB in North India. It used to cover around 280+ km at a speed of 55+ kmph.
If the tracks in this area are so bad, why not have a regular 20-coach ICE train running with WAP-5? It could have 8 AC coaches, 11 non-AC coaches, and one SLR coach. It might be a bit slower than VB trains since they accelerate faster, but it would accommodate more passengers (like 2.5x-3x more).
