JP Nadda and Union Ministers Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh received invitations for the Pran Pratishtha of Go Shri Ram at the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya. In Sabarimala, long queues of devotees witnessed heavy rush during the Makaravilakku festival at the Lord Ayyappa temple. In Ranchi, New Zealand Women's Hockey players celebrated a goal against Italy during the FIH Hockey Paris Olympic 2024 Qualifier match. In Haridwar, people celebrated Lohri. In Kolkata, a taxi driver decorated his cab with small ornamental plants to promote environmental friendliness. In Kupwara, the Northern Army Commander, Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi, visited forward areas at the Machil sector. In Patna, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav distributed appointment letters to newly recruited teachers at the Gandhi Maidan.
