A large number of social workers, public representatives, and villagers from Kandra were present at the hunger strike site. Raju stated that a senior railway official assured him over the phone that he would address most of the demands within a month. He agreed to temporarily suspend the hunger strike based on this assurance. Earlier, people supporting the indefinite movement welcomed Raju with garlands, including Sunil Gupta (Panchayat Samiti member, Bagbera), Soekhen Hembram (former Mukhiya), and Harvinder Kaur (led by Gurudwara Pradhan Rajender Kaur of Gamharia Gurudwara Stri Satsang Sabha).
