Taxes shouldn't be imposed on low earner groups like 300,000 or below. Rather rich and ultra rich should be taxed even more, like China (PRC) or the UK with a taxation rate of 45% for high earning groups.
The poor is already paying taxes inform of GST and indirect tax system.
Suppose...
more... one person earns 1,000 per day and another earns 10,000.
Both have to buy something that costs 500 Rupees but has a GST of 100 Rupees. The one who earns only 1,000 is paying 10% of their income in form of GST tax but for the 10,000 Rupees earner - it's just 1%.
Progressive taxation is for a reason, which is to decrease the rampant inequality over the world.
Personally speaking, in my socialist mind the fact that a toddler has to travel in crowded general coach and another toddler gets to travel in 1AC, just because they were born in a different family with different class standing.
I see this as no different than racism/casteism, where a person of one race is put above another - solely because they were born in a "superior race".
