in a daily loss of 2 lakh rupees in passenger fare revenue. The cancellation of the Golden Temple Mail on January 26th further reduced train options to Delhi. The Hindon railway station, which is categorized as an NSG-4 station, typically earns 3 to 3.25 lakh rupees daily from passenger fares. However, due to the cancellations, the revenue has dropped to 1 to 1.15 lakh rupees. The station sees 40 daily and weekly express and passenger trains. The cancellations have reduced passenger numbers by half, with the Sawai Madhopur-Mathura Passenger being the most impacted, carrying 400 passengers daily. The Jan Shatabdi Express, which contributes 40-45 thousand rupees daily in passenger fare revenue, has also been canceled. The cancellation of trains has significantly impacted the Shri Mahaveerji railway station, with daily passenger numbers dropping to 150, generating only 30-32 thousand rupees in revenue. Previously, the station used to have an average of 300 passengers, generating 60 thousand rupees in revenue. The canceled trains include the Jan Shatabdi Express, Golden Temple Mail, Sograia Express, and the Sawai Madhopur-Mathura Passenger. Weekly trains like the Kota-Udhampur, Gandhidham-Bhagalpur Express, and Kota-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra have also been canceled. The Mathura-Ratlam MEMU is operating only till Bharatpur. According to the Station Superintendent K.S. Meena, the cancellations have reduced daily passengers to 3000, resulting in a daily loss of 2 lakh rupees in passenger fare revenue. The remodeling work is expected to be completed by February 6th, after which all train operations and stops are expected to resume.
