Three trains, namely Muzaffarpur-Anand Vihar Express, Chennai-New Delhi GT, and Jammu Tawi-New Delhi Rajdhani, are delayed by 2 hours. The maximum temperature recorded at various stations is significantly lower than usual for this time of year. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts cold to severe cold conditions in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan for the next day, with a notable decrease in temperatures afterward. The maximum temperature in many parts of Punjab and Haryana is between 9-12 degrees Celsius, while it is between 13-16 degrees in northern Rajasthan, Delhi, some parts of northwestern Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh. These areas are experiencing temperatures 4-9 degrees lower than normal. Minimum temperatures range between 6-15 degrees in Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, northwest Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand. The lowest minimum temperature today was recorded at 2 degrees Celsius in Sikar, eastern Rajasthan. IMD predicts fresh rain with thunder/hailstorms between 8-10 January in northwest and central India.
