Railway Board ordered the reduction of fares and other zones have implemented it, West Central Railway claims to be waiting for instructions from the Ministry of Railways. Other zones like Western Railway, North Central Railway, and South East Central Railway have implemented the reduced fares, with the minimum fare for ordinary trains being тВ╣10. This reduction is applicable to MEMU, DEMU, passenger, and express special trains. Passengers are complaining about the disparity in fares between different zones, with some routes having a significant difference in fares depending on the direction of travel. West Central Railway officials claim they will implement the reduced fare soon, after receiving instructions from the Ministry.
