Kerala HC directs railways and Kochi corporation to act on plastic waste accumulated on tracks

The Kerala High Court directed Kochi corporation to remove plastic waste accumulated on railway tracks, either by instructing railway authorities if it's their property or by taking action themselves if it falls under their jurisdiction. The additional chief secretary confirmed that the plastic waste on railway tracks is located on railway property and the government is working with the railway for a solution. Meanwhile, the judges expressed satisfaction with the progress at Brahmapuram solid waste treatment plant but instructed the authorities to consider paving internal roads. The Black Soldier Fly and Legacy Waste projects were also deemed effective.
