and ending at Poonamallee Bypass, is set to open in 2025. The Poonamallee depot, currently under construction, will house and maintain all trains on this corridor. A total of 138 three-car trainsets are planned for phase 2, covering 116.1 kilometers, with 70 trainsets being procured through bids last year and 32 more through a recent reopening of bids. The driverless trains will have several features, including perch seats, CCTV cameras, charging sockets, grab handles, dedicated space for wheelchair users, and LCD screens for information and entertainment. Each three-car trainset can accommodate approximately 1,000 passengers and will have a design speed of 90 km/hr and an operational speed of 80 km/hr. They will also be equipped with safety features such as obstacle detectors, train derailment detectors, and a regenerative braking system.

Bypass tak jata hai, 2025 mein khulne wala hai. Poonamallee depot, jo abhi ban raha hai, is corridor ke saare trains ko rakhne aur maintain karne ka kaam karega. Phase 2 ke liye 138 three-car trainsets ka plan hai, jo 116.1 kilometer lamba hai, jismein se 70 trainsets ko last year bids ke through liya gaya tha aur 32 trainsets ke liye recently bids reopen hue hain. Driverless trains mein bahut saare features honge, jaise perch seats, CCTV cameras, charging sockets, grab handles, wheelchair users ke liye dedicated space, aur information aur entertainment ke liye LCD screens. Har three-car trainset mein lagbhag 1,000 passengers aa sakte hain aur iska design speed 90 km/hr aur operational speed 80 km/hr hoga. Inmein safety features bhi honge jaise obstacle detectors, train derailment detectors, aur regenerative braking system.
