Project ke liye survey ka kaam do saal mein complete ho gaya tha, but ab project indefinitely suspend ho gaya hai, railway department ke liye expected economic benefit nahin hone ki wajah se. Itna investment karne ke baad project ko rokne ka decision, Upper Assam mein development aur crucial infrastructure projects ke liye decision-making process ki effectiveness ke baare mein concerns utha raha hai. Suspension ke baad project ko revive karne ke liye demands aa rahi hain, yeh highlight karta hai ki project region ke socioeconomic progress mein contribution kar sakta hai.
