Not 3, it should be 2. Coalfield gets filled up even before it reaches Asansol. Among Sdah Intercity and agnibina, Intercity is not at all a office goers train. It reaches Sdah almost at 11 whereas Agnibina reaches by 9am (Earlier it should be reaches Howrah by 8.30am).
Just to give you idea about the importance of this train for Asansol-Durgapur belt - despite of being a Intercity that runs for just 200km, this train has 2 seperate remote quotas (RLWL for Raniganj-Andal and RLWL for Durgapur). Can you show me any other train that runs for mere 200kms but has 2 seperate remote quotas??

more... this tells you about the importance of this train in this belt. I believe a new train can solve the issue but extending Agnibina will only aggregate the issue. (I remember back in 2006, when Shantiniketan exp was announced to get an extension, people literally took out tracks and finally the decision was cancelled)
