The 'Kaveri' is the first TBM to tunnel under a river in CMRL's Phase II Project, which spans 116 km and features over 100 stations. The Adyar Junction Metro station is under construction and is expected to be completed within two years. A second TBM called 'Adyar' is following behind 'Kaveri' and is expected to reach Adyar Junction Metro station in four months.
