On May 1st, 2024, 162 passengers booked on a train from Gorakhpur to Mumbai on the North Eastern Railway found themselves in a predicament. a 3rd AC coach. When passengers protested, the AC and lights were turned off in their coach. The passengers then tried to find the TTE but he had already left the train. The passengers continued to protest, even reaching out to railway officials, but were met with resistance and eventually silence. The railway staff maintained that the two coaches would be empty until they reached CSMT, Mumbai. The passengers alleged that this was a deliberate action taken by the railway, as the booked 3rd AC Economy coach had been replaced by a standard 3rd AC coach. The passengers were also inconvenienced by the late departure of the train, which left Gorakhpur 20 minutes later than scheduled. The incident caused considerable distress and frustration for the passengers, who were left without a proper solution.

ne protest kiya to coach ki AC aur light band kar di gayi. Passengers ne TTE ko dhoondha lekin woh train se utar gaya. Passengers ne railway officials se bhi baat ki lekin unhe resistance aur silence mila. Railway staff ne kaha ki dono coaches CSMT Mumbai tak khali hi rahenge. Passengers ka kehna hai ki ye railway ki taraf se jaan boojh kar kiya gaya hai kyunki unhone booked 3rd AC Economy coach ki jagah standard 3rd AC coach laga diya. Train Gorakhpur se 20 minutes late chali, isse bhi passengers ko pareshani hui. Passengers ko koi proper solution nahi mila.
