The Calcutta High Court has directed the Kolkata Metro authorities to consider extending operating hours on the Blue Line between Dakshineswar and Kavi Subhas. cutoff time on the Blue Line causes inconvenience to many office workers and high court employees. The court cited examples of other cities where metro services run until 11 PM and emphasized the need to cater to the needs of those working late hours. The Metro authorities cited technical difficulties in extending operating hours but were unable to provide a satisfactory explanation for the early closure. Similar early closure times apply to the East-West Metro line.

ki Blue Line par 10:30 PM par metro band hone se bahut office workers aur high court ke employees ko pareshani hoti hai. Court ne dusre cities ke examples diye jaha metro 11 PM tak chalti hai aur kaha ki late hours tak kaam karne walon ki needs ko dhyan mein rakhna chahiye. Metro authorities ne service extend karne me technical difficulties batai, lekin early closure ka sahi jaavab nahin de paye. East-West Metro line pe bhi 10 PM se pehle metro band ho jati hai.
