The Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridor has undergone a comprehensive inspection by Kuldeep Narayan, Managing Director of NCRTC and Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA). construction progress and emphasizing timely completion and adherence to safety regulations. Narayan then assessed operational activities and passenger experiences on the operational RRTS corridor between Sahibabad and Modi Nagar North. The inspection continued into the Meerut section, where construction progress was examined, and discussions were held with engineers and site workers. The entire 82 km corridor from Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to Modipuram in Meerut is targeted for operation by June 2025. Currently, a 34 km section from Sahibabad to Modi Nagar North with eight stations is operational. NCRTC has unveiled the first electric vehicle charging station at the Sahibabad RRTS station, enhancing last-mile connectivity and promoting clean energy adoption. This station offers three slow charging units with a capacity of 3.3 kW each and one fast charging unit with a capacity of 30 kW for various electric vehicles. Users can monitor energy consumption and make online payments through a dedicated mobile app. In the future, these EV charging facilities will be expanded to other RRTS stations, including Ghaziabad, Guldhur, Duhai, Duhai Depot, Murad Nagar, Modi Nagar South, and Modi North. NCRTC aims to achieve 70% of the total energy requirements for the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor through solar energy by installing solar plants at all elevated stations and depots. The organization's commitment to environmental sustainability is reflected in their solar policy, adopted in March 2021, which aims to generate approximately 11 MW of renewable energy through rooftop solar plants at stations, depots, and other buildings over the next five years.

June 2025 tak Delhi mein Sarai Kale Khan se Meerut ke Modipuram tak pura 82 km corridor operational karne ka lakshya hai. Currently, Sahibabad se Modi Nagar North tak 34 km section, jisme aath stations hain, operational hai. NCRTC ne Sahibabad RRTS station par pehla electric vehicle charging station launch kiya hai, last-mile connectivity ko enhance karne aur clean energy adoption ko promote karne ke liye. Yeh station alag-alag electric vehicles ke liye 3.3 kW ki capacity wali teen slow charging units aur 30 kW ki capacity wali ek fast charging unit provide karta hai. Users ek dedicated mobile app ke through energy consumption ko monitor kar sakte hain aur online payment bhi kar sakte hain. Future mein, yeh EV charging facilities ko other RRTS stations, jaise ki Ghaziabad, Guldhur, Duhai, Duhai Depot, Murad Nagar, Modi Nagar South, aur Modi North tak expand kiya jaayega. NCRTC ka lakshya hai ki Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor ki total energy requirements ka 70% solar energy se achieve kiya jaaye, yeh sabhi elevated stations aur depots par solar plants install karke.
