Mumbai: Western Railway records highest season ticket sales for AC local trains

1,60,645 AC local tickets booked, representing a 30% increase compared to the same period last year. The average ridership for AC locals has also increased significantly, from 1,06,925 in May 2023-24 to 1,52,682 in May 2024-25. WR currently operates 96 AC services on weekdays using 7 rakes on its suburban network, providing passengers with comfortable travel options. The increasing number of AC local passengers highlights WR's success in meeting the evolving needs and preferences of commuters.
