foundations by the Indian Railways for electrification, which are being built on farmers' land. These foundations, covering 20-50 square meters, are being built along a 26 km stretch between Batedi in Patiala and Mahmupur in Shambhu. While 38 foundations are completed and pillars have been erected at 10 locations, farmers are unhappy about compensation offered for the land used for these foundations and restrictions on farming in the area. Despite multiple communications between the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) and the Punjab government, no solution has been reached, highlighting the lack of interest from the Punjab government in resolving the issue.

pe ban rahe hain, protest kar rahe hain. Lekin kisan foundations ke liye compensation se khush nahi hain aur area mein farming pe restrictions se bhi pareshan hain. DFCCIL aur Punjab government ke beech kai baatein hui hain, lekin Punjab government is issue ko solve karne mein interest nahi dikha rahi hai.
