the AC remained non-functional, passengers voiced their frustration at Kanpur station. Passengers reported facing significant discomfort due to the lack of AC in the sweltering heat. Kuldeep Tiwari, a passenger, reported filing a complaint on the Rail Madad app, which was closed without any action. Ananya, another passenger, reported feeling restless due to the non-functional AC for three to four hours without any resolution. Varun Rai expressed his grievance on Twitter, mentioning the train's delay and the lack of AC in coach C-4. He suggested either canceling the train or resolving the issue before departure. Upon reaching Cantt station at 11 pm, passengers expressed concern about the state of the Vande Bharat Express, questioning the condition of other trains.

Unhone kaha ki ya to train cancel kar deni chahiye thi ya phir train chalne se pehle problem solve kar leni chahiye thi. Cantt station pe raat 11 baje train pahunchne par passengers ne kaha ki agar Vande Bharat jaisi train ka ye haal hai, toh aise mein other trains ki kya condition hogi?
