The slow pace of work on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ambitious 'Gati Shakti' scheme is causing significant inconvenience to railway passengers in Barkakana. The project, launched on August 6, 2023, aims to improve infrastructure at 508 stations across India, including 20 in Jharkhand. The Barkakana Junction, a key station under the...

Dhanbad Division, is also undergoing a revamp under the 'Amrit Bharat Station' scheme, but the progress is sluggish. Local residents allege that the contractor, M/s Rang Bahadur Singh, is compromising on quality in collaboration with engineers. The 33 crore rupee project at Barkakana station has been marred by slow progress, haphazardly placed construction materials, and a lack of safety measures, leading to injuries among passengers. The situation is particularly challenging for those trying to catch trains from the main road.

PM Narendra Modi ke 'Gati Shakti' Yojana ka kaam bahut slow chal raha hai, jisse Barkakana ke rail yatri bahut pareshan hai. 6 August 2023 ko PM ne deshbhar ke 508 stations, jismein Jharkhand ke 20 stations bhi hain, ke infrastructure ko improve karne ke liye virtual foundation stone rakhi thi....

Dhanbad Division ke important Barkakana Junction mein bhi 'Amrit Bharat Station' Yojana ke andar foundation stone rakhi gayi thi. Yahan chal raha kaayakalp ka kaam bahut slow hai, aur quality bhi kharab hai. Jagh-jagh par construction material bikhari padi hui hai. Time-time par aane waale officers bhi is par narazgi jahir kar chuke hain. Mesers Rang Bahadur Singh (contractor) ki kaam shaili mein koi sudhar nahin hai. Local log contractor par arop laga rahe hain ki contractor aur engineer ki milibhagat se quality-less kaam ho raha hai. Barkakana railway station par 'Amrit Bharat Station' Yojana ke andar 33 crore ki lagat se kaayakalp ka kaam chal raha hai. Kaam ki speed bahut slow hai. Contractor ki laaparvahi se station aane-jane ke raste par material faila kar rakha gaya hai, jisse yatriyon ko pareshani ho rahi hai. Aaye din koi na koi yatri gir kar chot lag jaati hai. Jab koi yatri main road se jaldi se train pakadna chahta hai, tab yeh pareshani zyada hoti hai. Karib 6 mahine se circulating area mein kaam ho raha hai. Station aane-jane ke raste par construction material jagah-jagah faili padi hai. Rail yatri ubad-khabad raste mein hi aavagaman karne ke liye majboor hain.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
