While the Chennai Egmore-Nagercoil Vande Bharat Express schedule and route are not yet released, they will be updated as soon as they are confirmed. Previously, there was a weekly Vande Bharat Express service between Chennai Egmore and Nagercoil, but passengers requested a daily service. Following a recommendation from the Southern Railway Administration, the Railway Board has approved a daily service. The new daily Vande Bharat Express (train number 06067) will depart Chennai Egmore every Thursday at 5:15 AM, starting January 1, 2024. The train will reach Nagercoil at 2:10 PM on the same day. The return journey, the Nagercoil-Chennai Vande Bharat Express (06068), will depart Nagercoil on Thursday at 2:50 PM and arrive in Chennai Egmore at 11:45 PM.
