Residents of Rawani Basti, a small village near Dhanbad, protested against the construction of a boundary wall by the Indian Railways along the Dhanbad-Gaya rail route. They demanded an alternative route be provided before the wall is built. Villagers said that the railway line was built through their only road connecting...

them to the south, and while a gate was promised by the previous railway minister, it was never constructed. Now, the village is separated from its well, fields, and temple by the railway line. They have requested an underpass from the Dhanbad DRM and have received support from the Giridih MP. The proposed underpass would benefit residents of Rawani Basti, Shridharpur, Jamuantaar, Sundar Nagar, Fatamahal, and Rajak Basti. Residents are facing significant difficulties accessing their land due to the new eight-lane road construction and the proposed boundary wall, forcing them to travel several kilometers. They are willing to be relocated if the railways will acquire their land.

Naye eight-lane road aur boundary wall ki wajah se, villagers ko apne land tak pahunchne ke liye bahut door jaana padta hai. Logon ne kaha ki agar railway unki land acquire karke unhe dusri jagah shift karenge, to woh raazi hai.
