project faces delays due to land acquisition, traffic diversion, and tender processes. The 20km elevated line on OMR from Nehru Nagar to Siruseri Sipcot, originally scheduled to open in June 2026, is now expected to be operational by December 2026. Grade separators are being constructed at Sholinganallur and Thoraipakkam to improve traffic flow. The OMR line is part of a 45.4km corridor from Madhavaram Milk Colony to Siruseri Sipcot, divided into two sections with separate construction contracts.

Nehru Nagar se Siruseri Sipcot tak 20 km ki elevated line, jiska opening June 2026 mein hone wala tha, ab December 2026 mein operational hone ki ummeed hai. Sholinganallur aur Thoraipakkam mein traffic flow ko behtar banane ke liye grade separators banaye ja rahe hain. OMR line, Madhavaram Milk Colony se Siruseri Sipcot tak 45.4 km corridor ka part hai, jisko do sections mein divide kiya gaya hai aur unke liye alag alag construction contracts hain.
