Bengaluru Metro: BMRCL Awards Feasibility Study Contracts For Major Network Expansion

Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has awarded contracts for feasibility studies to expand its network. The proposed extensions include Challaghatta to Bidadi (15 km), Silk Institute to Harohalli (24 km), and Bommasandra to Attibele (11 km). Additionally, a new line is proposed to run from Kalena Agrahara to Kadugodi Tree Park, covering Jigani, Anekal, Attibele, Sarjapur and Varthur, spanning 68 km. The feasibility studies will analyze factors like construction costs, traffic patterns, alignment, property requirements, and land acquisition challenges. These studies are expected to take approximately six months to complete. Based on the findings, the government will decide whether to approve or reject the proposed metro lines. If approved, BMRCL will proceed with a detailed project report, marking the beginning of Phase 4 of the metro's expansion.

ki feasibility study karna hai. Proposed extension mein Challaghatta se Bidadi (15 km), Silk Institute se Harohalli (24 km), aur Bommasandra se Attibele (11 km) shamil hai. Iske alawa, ek nayi line Kalena Agrahara se Kadugodi Tree Park tak chalane ka proposal hai, jismein Jigani, Anekal, Attibele, Sarjapur aur Varthur cover honge, aur yeh 68 km lambi hogi. Feasibility studies mein construction cost, traffic patterns, alignment, property requirements aur land acquisition challenges jaise factors ka analysis kiya jaayega. Yeh studies 6 mahine mein complete hone ki ummid hai. In studies ke findings ke based, government decide karega ki proposed metro lines ko approve karna hai ya reject. Agar dono, state aur Union government, approve kar dete hain, to BMRCL detailed project report ke saath aage badhega, jo metro ke expansion ka Phase 4 shuru karne ka signal hoga.
