railways compared to the UPA era, with Karnataka receiving an average of ₹835 crore annually during the UPA period. The state received ₹7561 crore in the 2023-24 financial year. The Southwest Railway zone has 31 projects under development worth ₹47,000 crore. As part of the Amrit Bharat Yojana, 59 stations are being modernized to world-class standards. The railway network has witnessed a significant increase in electrification and infrastructure development, including the addition of 2,500 bogies in the past decade. The government has also reduced the duty hours for locomotive pilots to 52 hours per week to alleviate stress. The government plans to electrify 317 kilometers of railway track annually, a significant increase from the 18 kilometers electrified annually during the UPA period. This has resulted in a substantial increase in track length and electrification.

Railway network mein electrification aur infrastructure development mein kaafi badhaav aaya hai, jisme last decade mein 2,500 bogies add kiye gaye hain.
