I left my house at 605 by a Rapido bike taxi as I am single and dropped at Railway station at 615 crossed the road and reached near Gate No. 2 East or front entrance and looked at the digital screen board and couldn't found my train listed which is scheduled to depart at 645. All the trains are late running and Vskp departing passengers trains are also in different Platforms. So I walked on to the FOB No. 2 and I spotted my train Visakhapatnam Kirandul parked in stabling line between PF 5 & 6 with shunting diesel engine attached towards Port end. All the tourists and travellers are waiting for the train announcement on FOB and some on PF 6 which is more likely every day. I too climbed down the stairs and found Visakhapatnam Gunpur passenger waiting and I walked to the front to have a look of...

I suddenly realized that the train left stabling line and PF 5 is empty as East coast express Left at 630-635 and no annoucement of my train yet. so I walked on to the escalator and reached FOB top and there was a announcement that Korba Vskp express is arriving on PF 5, so again got down to PF 6 . Vskp Gunpur left at 655 from PF 6 as the outgoing line is blocked by incoming Korba express on PF 5 at 654. There was no announcement of our train and at 715 could spot our train being towed in reverse direction slowly towards the PF 6 end and coach numbers are displayed and finally the train was parked on PF and coach display and train coach position didn't match. The Vistadome coaches are not attached and albtge tourists are confused and early searching for the coach. After about 5 mins 2 coaches of Vistadome being pulled by a shunting Loco came from the maintainance shed through stabling line and went forward to be reversed and attached at backend of the train and got attached by 735 and train is ready for dep, so I quickly went to my coach S1 Seat No. 20 lower berth which I have booked 25 days in advance with the option book only if lower berth is allocated. For general sitting coach the selection for window seat is not available now for any intercity train so opted gor Sleeper class. Finally the train left at 745 and the weather is partly cloudy with occasional sunshine. The train crossed the city limits and lush green fields and foggy mauntains welcomed me. The views are excellent and I enjoyed throughly through the window clicking pictures and taking videos. While train is climbing the ghats I could feel the cold breeze and rustic musical track and screeching sounds of train slowly climbing the hill. I felt that the window and pillar obstructing the full view of nature which will be not the case in Vistadome as glass panels is upto coach height. One should travel in non AC to feel the nature connected directly and take pics while to enjoy the scenic view travel in Vistadome and I recommend travelling by both as they offer different experience I will post the pics in my coming posts with station names.

Vskp Gunpur left at 6:55 from PF 6, and our train got delayed 'cause of Korba express. Finally saw our train pullin' into PF 6 by 7:15, coach numbers displayed, but Vistadome coaches missin'. After 5 mins, Vistadome coaches added at the back by 7:35, and I rushed to my S1 Seat No. 20 lower berth. Booked it 25 days early to secure a lower berth. The train left at 7:45, weather partly cloudy with sun here and there. Train passed the city, lush green fields, foggy mountains. Amazing views, clicked pics and videos through the window. Felt the breeze and heard the train chuggin' while climbin' hills. Couldn't enjoy the full view due to window and pillar blockin', wish I had a Vistadome ride with glass panels for epic views. Travelin' in non AC gets you closer to nature, while Vistadome gives you a scenic experience. Gonna post pics soon with station names.
