Alamnagar lies in Lucknow on the BE-LKO line. It has 4 platforms, though half the tracks are occupied by freight ones. Trains like LKO Mail [in one direction], Triveni express and crawlers like DDN-BSB Express stop here. Other trains may also stop here due to it being outers of LKO/LJN and non availability of PFs at the main station. The station has been renovated recently and has a giant imposing facade now.
I went there when the Triveni Express rolled in. But only a few passengers to board and a trickle...

Ab koi puche ki itna bhayanak paisa kyu lagaya AMG pe. Sirf PF badha dete kyu itna bhari building bana di jab yahan stop nahi dena. Jab aap lagbhag sabhi trains ko yahan rok hi dete ho clearance ke wajah se to kuch trains ko non premium hi sahi aap halts de dete.
Fun fact... Mostly trains halt here more than the main stations of LKO🤣🤣🤣
The problem is still connectivity. The station isn't still the most well connected and even public demand for trains that do stop here, like Triveni express isn't huge as of now. That being said, slowly trains are getting stoppages, a few dailies and bi weeklies stop here. Maybe in the future, passenger trains towards BE might be started from here only.
Connectivity will always remain an issue at AMG. Either you reach through Rajajipuram or if you are coming from Buddheshwar side, you cross the flyover and take U turn to reach AMG (not suitable for cars). Rajajipuram is so dense that only if you know the right turns and streets you could reach AMG hassle free
Yes, I went via Buddheswar side only. I then walked for ~1+ km before reaching the station. I had once visited it via Rajajipuram a long time before. Even then, I don't think direct bus to the proper station was available from Charbagh. This station isn't even on proposed metro map either as of now. Only 'Lucknow City' is scheduled to get a metro station in the second phase, that has started, I think.
