Agra Metro: Inauguration of casting of U-girder in casting yard located at Runkata of Agra Metro…#agranews

The Agra Metro has begun casting U-girders for its first corridor, with the casting yard located in Runakta. The first U-girder, weighing 165 tons and measuring 28 meters long, is more efficient and effective than traditional box girders. Its ‘U’ shape allows for more space at the ends for signal equipment,...

saves time, and reduces construction costs. The U-girders are precast and then transported to the construction site and placed between two pillars by a crane, minimizing disruption to pedestrians. The first corridor, extending from the Taj East Gate to Sikandra, will require 172 U-girders in total. Other components such as pier caps and double T girders will also be cast at the Runakta yard. Agra Metro's two corridors, spanning 29.4 km and comprising 27 stations, are currently under construction.

Agra Metro ke pehle corridor ke liye U-girder ki casting Runakta mein start ho gayi hai. Pehla U-girder 165 ton ka hai aur 28 meter lamba hai. Ye traditional box girders se zyada efficient aur effective hai. Iske ‘U’ shape ki wajah se dono taraf signal equipment lagaane ke liye zyada...

jagah milti hai, jisse time aur construction cost bhi kam hota hai. U-girders ko precast kiya jaata hai, phir truck se site par le jaaya jaata hai, aur crane ki madad se dono pillars ke beech rakha jaata hai. Is technique se pedestrians ko zyada pareshani ka samna nahin karna padta. Taj East Gate se Sikandra tak ka pehla corridor, 172 U-girders ka use karega. Runakta yard mein pier caps aur double T girders bhi banayenge. Agra Metro ke dono corridors, 29.4 km lamba aur 27 stations ke saath, abhi construction ke stage mein hain.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
