Assam: Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi Demands Renaming Of Silchar Railway Station To Honour Language Martyrs

Government has responded that the Assam government has not yet submitted a formal proposal for the change. The Northeast Frontier Railway requires the state government to recommend the renaming and the Union Home Ministry's approval. Gogoi urges the Assam government to submit the proposal immediately to fulfill the long-standing demand.
