Railways to expedite 72 overbridge projects across Kerala

The Southern Railway has launched a new Road Safety Project (RSP) department to accelerate the construction of 115 road over bridges (ROBs) and underpasses (road under bridges) in Kerala, aiming to reduce accidents and traffic congestion. The RSP will oversee 73 projects in Kerala, with 44 in the Thiruvananthapuram Division and...

29 in the Palakkad Division. This includes 72 overbridges and one underbridge in Kannur's Anayidukku. The RSP will take over construction projects previously managed by Chennai and Ernakulam sections. While the Railway and the state government are currently sharing construction costs equally, discussions are ongoing to potentially have the Railways fully fund all projects. The Kerala Rail Development Corporation is constructing road-rail bridges and access roads to eliminate 27 level crossings, with tenders issued for eight projects after the Railways provided full funding due to the Kerala government's lack of contribution.

Southern Railway ne ek nayi Road Safety Project (RSP) department launch kiya hai jiske through Kerala mein 115 road over bridges (ROBs) aur underpasses (road under bridges) ka construction jaldi se complete ho sake. Isse accidents aur traffic jam kam hone ki ummeed hai. RSP, Kerala mein 73 projects ko dekh...

raha hai, jisme se 44 Thiruvananthapuram Division mein aur 29 Palakkad Division mein hai. Isme Kannur ke Anayidukku mein 72 overbridges aur ek underbridge bhi hai. Pehle Chennai aur Ernakulam sections yeh construction projects dekhte the, lekin ab yeh responsibility RSP ko de di gayi hai. Construction ka kharcha abhi railway aur state government dono share kar rahe hai, lekin ab baat chal rahi hai ki maybe railway hi saara kharcha uthaye. Kerala Rail Development Corporation state mein 27 level crossings ko remove karne ke liye road-rail bridges aur access roads bana raha hai. Unhone 8 projects ke liye tenders issue kiye hai, kyuki Kerala government apna share nahi de raha tha, toh railway ne pura funding diya.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
