Passengers are frustrated with the lack of progress in improving local services despite the electrification of the line in 2016, and they want the efficiency of the Pune-Lonavala line to be replicated on the Pune-Daund line. They also point out the slow speed of DEMU trains, which currently take over 2 hours to cover the 74 km distance. They argue that this is due to priority being given to long-distance trains, neglecting local commuters. Further, they demand the resumption of local trains suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic. The existing 6 AM Daund-Pune DEMU train stops at Hadapsar, causing inconvenience for commuters who have to travel further to their destination. This also increases travel time and costs. Passengers also highlight the inadequate number of coaches in the 6 AM train, which results in overcrowding. Despite repeated pleas to the Railway Minister, Minister of State for Railways, and MPs, passengers only receive empty promises without any concrete improvements. The passengers also call for the introduction of two new trains between Daund and Pune, operating from 8 AM to 5 PM. This will benefit commuters from Daund, Patas, Kedgaon, Yavat, Uruli Kanchan, Loni Kalbhor, Mundhwa, and Hadapsar areas.

Pravaashan ne 6 AM ki train mein coaches ki kami pe bhi roshni daali hai, jiski wajah se train mein bahut zyada bheed hoti hai.
