Agree
Should Indian Railways introduce a new concept of hierarchy in trains to better manage them, resource distribution, and travel experience? The system now looks messy with the introduction of so many high-priority trains.

What I propose:-

1.
...
High Priority Trains - Rajdhani, VB, Shatabdi, Duronto, Tejas
A. Special Fund and Time Allocation Facility for them
B. High Priority and less halts/ travel time in all sections
C. Increased food services, experience and entertainment facilities
D. Better execution of plans to maintain cleanliness/maintenance en route
E. Well-experienced staff from Hotel Management for experience quality

2. Flagship Trains - Premium Superfast/AC Trains, Sampark Kranti, Humsafar, Uday-DD
A. High Fund Allocation to maintain cleanliness-facilities
B. Providing better sanitation facilities and speedy journeys to normal
passengers
C. Better travel experience, priority and premium superfast trains to
destination

3. Normal Trains - Garibrath, Jan Shatabdi, AC Superfast, AC express, Express
A. Normal fund allocation with general emphasis of cleaniless and facilities
B. Normal Journey Experience
C. A low budget quality travel for general public.

4. Low Priority Trains - Passengers/DEMU/MEMU
A. Normal daily basis travel experience

Benefits of System:
1. Help IR in better planned and executed spend on Trains, Quality Experience and travel time/Priority.
2. Flagship trains will give general public a quality experience in trains while Normal Trains will give a medium-low budget experience.
3. The plan will systematize the spending on various trains - creating a powerful difference between experience in various categories of trains (as with current strategy of maintenance Rajdhani and some SF trains are equal, which should not be the case)
4. Help public frame a better image of trains in India (specially foreigners)
5. More Transperancy and better travel experience for passengers - as they will know that Flagship and High priority trains can be trusted more with their travel.

Disadvantages (I feel)
1. Can create a class difference in Railways.

Travel SAFE

1. RailFanning does NOT MEAN dangerous pics/videos.
2. Doorplating pics/youtube videos are strictly FORBIDDEN in IRI.
3. Take plenty of food pics and other safe pics.
4. Write human interest narratives to make the pics interesting.
5. Enjoy blogging and travelling SAFELY.

REMEMBER: YOUR LIFE is the most precious thing, NOT RailFanning.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
