connect Esplanade and Sealdah by early 2024, allowing passengers to travel from Howrah to Salt Lake Sector V via the Metro. The project's future hangs in the balance, raising concerns about its viability. The General Manager had previously stated that the Bowbazar section would be completed by early 2025, but ongoing challenges have led to delays and uncertainties. Kolkata Metro recently celebrated its 40th anniversary on October 24th, 2024, with the launch of a new smart card featuring a 40th-anniversary logo and various celebrations planned for the week. The Metro aims to expand to 90 kilometers by 2025 and 130 kilometers by 2027.

uncertain hai, halanki pehle plan tha ki Esplanade aur Sealdah ko early 2024 me connect kiya jaayega. Isse passengers Howrah se Salt Lake Sector V tak Metro se travel kar sakte the. Project ka future ab uncertain hai aur iski viability ke bare me chinta ho rahi hai. General Manager ne pehle kaha tha ki Bowbazar section early 2025 me complete ho jaayega, lekin abhi chal rahi difficulties ki wajah se delay aur uncertainty aa gayi hai. Kolkata Metro ne recently apna 40th anniversary celebrate kiya hai October 24th, 2024 ko, new smart card launch kiya hai jismein 40th anniversary logo hai. Iske saath hi week bhar celebrations ki planning hai. Metro ka aim hai ki 2025 tak ye 90 kilometers tak aur 2027 tak 130 kilometers tak expand ho jaaye.
