New Delhi, June 15 (PTI) Rajasthan is set to get various rail projects, including a broad gauge line connecting holy city Nathdwara and a Shatabdi-like train between Jaipur and Udaipur.
"Nathdwara city is a holy place where lakhs of pilgrims visit every year. Since the nearest station Mandiana is 11 km away from the city, we have decided to connect the holy city with the construction of a broad gauge line," Railway Minister C P Joshi told PTI

Correct. These things are much more important. But they want to do things which get them in public eye. Running new trains, services is the best way. Besides, electrification, doubling and GC take their own time.

Rail Minister has given noting so far to state which is extra ordinary.Can not compare with Mamta yet!

Just a Shatabdi like train connecting 2 very important tourist destinations,an 11 KM rail line and a BG conversion project which railway agree 20 years ago in "same Gauge concept" as per Railway Policy
