Today I spotted a 42 coach loaded BCNA standing b/w PF#1-2 of New Bongaigaon Stn with a Bhagat Ki Kothi WDG-4 in lead...as soon as I saw BGKT WDG-4,my curiosity started climbing up & as my train waited @ PF#1 I got down @ the opposite side..Thankfully the PF @ NBQ was provided off with washable aprons otherwise I had to submerge my legs inside the drains...after observing quite a few doors & the attached slip,I came to know that the consignment was from Gandhidham in Gujarat & bound for Jagi Road(Assam) & was carrying packaged salts...each wagon had 1286 gunny bags each of which had 67 packets of packed salt(1 kg)...but what surprised me is that the consignment started from GIMB on 10.9.13 i.e. it took 8 days for the train to reach NBQ from GIMB(which is otherwise 2 days journey for 15667)...I think Rly should give more priorities to...
more... goods train.
Freights often have a certain schedule in which they tend to get late 90%.
