A short trip report of my recent trip...
We reached SC at around 10.30pm and walked to pf 1...
Checked the display board to find out that our 12752 SC-MUGR SF will be berthed onto pf1...
Soon Dakshin express with LGD WAP7 arrived and SC-LTT duronto was on pf 2 awaiting departure.Soon, both left and there was another train, SC-BZA spl on pf3 which...
more... was ready for departure... Amidst all these, there was another train waiting sadly for departure, none other than Simhapuri SF...
Finally after some announcements, it left at 11.20pm followed by SC-BZA spl after 5min.
Later, we heard an announcement that SC-MUGR dep has been shifted to pf3 and all the crowd headed there....
There was a huge crowd already on pf2 waiting for SC-VSKP LHB AC SPL and this made standing on pf3 much worse...
At 11.40pm, KZJ shunter brought the train from the yard and to my astonishment, all the coaches were 2013 made, charging points everywhere and in working condition.
Train was full, much to my expectations and we departed finally at 11.55pm...LGD WAP4 22664 leading us.
After about two unscheduled halts at CHZ outer and GT outer, we blasted through and reached DKJ at sharp 2.45am... 226kms in 2.45hrs, approx 76kmph avg...
We were put on pf 3 and i immediately positioned myself at the door thinkin some overtake would happen, but later realised tht im not in any BZA bound train, rather, this diverts here.
Then, no stopping this train. I realised how much a WAP4 can accelerate and well it was impressive. We left behind many small stations and finally reached BDCR at 4.45am, 20mins late.
Returned the same night by 12751 and it was the same loco and we reached SC at 4.30am as to 3.45am.
At, WL many UR pax boarded the SLand slept on the floor which was irritating...
Inshort, a very good train!
