receiving a ₹274.20 crore sanction. Delays due to land acquisition and Cyclone Michaung in December 2023 pushed back the completion date. Work on seven minor bridges, one big bridge, and track installation along the Cooum river is underway. Demolition of platforms at Chennai Park and Fort stations has begun, while 80% of track formation and removal of overhead electricity lines is complete. Foundation work for a foot over bridge and fabrication of platform shelters are also in progress at two stations.

September 2023 mein shuru kiya gaya tha, ₹274.20 crore ki sanction ke baad. Land acquisition aur December 2023 mein Cyclone Michaung ke wajah se delays ke karan completion date ko push back kiya gaya tha. Saath minor bridges, ek big bridge aur Cooum river ke kinare track installation ka kaam chal raha hai. Chennai Park aur Fort stations ke platforms ko demolish kiya ja raha hai, aur 80% track formation aur overhead electricity lines ko remove karne ka kaam complete ho chuka hai. Do stations mein foot over bridge ki foundation work aur platform shelters ko install karne ka fabrication work bhi chal raha hai.
