MAQ deserves this train very much....but from the first day of run onwards there wud be plans made for extending this train upto Kannur/Calicut or maybe even upto Ernakulam.....omg ! -_-

The possibilies would be if this train is SR then most probably it would be Ernakulam-Hubli or Kannur/Calicut-Hubli else if its an SWR Train the day after its first run demands wud start regarding extensions....well that wud be valid coz Kerala is not connected with N.Karnataka except a Kochuveli-Hubli Weekly Express....

well that cant be blamed though coz there are no starting trains towards North from Kannur/Calicut and they have to depend on trains from TVC and ERS which gets occupied very quickly........

I think 16517 was extended due to the following facts..... or we cud just ask out a N.Kerala Forum Monitor out here...What I think about the extension is :
1. To establish Kannur-Mysore connectivity
2.Easiest way of rail connectivity from Kannur to Bangalore

Now also we can see there are demands for increasing coaches in CAN-YPR Exp (via Salem) as it is the one and only daily train from whole N.Kerala to Bangalore........that would never be able to satisfy the Bangalore bound commuters..........even S.Kerala too lacks a good connectivity with Bangalore with this much of trains...Everyday its crowded....so its just a natural demand...

16517 is the one and only train which connects the whole Kerala with Mysore which.........if there were a lot of starting trains from Kannur/Calicut to Mysore/Bangalore or towards North....they wud never ask for extensions......I think

well ok then extensions let that go....if Kannur/Calicut gets a new train towards North ( Konkan/Hassan Route ) MAQ would come with an arguement that CAN/CLT has snatched a train which was meant for MAQ -_- would it be like that ?

1 Karaikkal-Ernakulam Express

We cant blame TVC for this.....demanding extensions......seee TVC has no connectivity with Patna so they demand for a new train and its sure after years and years of struggling only atleast a new weekly train it wud get......so extensions are easy......thats why extension demands.....
