I once took this route via Triveni express. That train is awfully slow, takes almost 6 hrs, twice the time of the VB. The mps of this route is only 110 kph, I think and until some years earlier some part of it on RBL-Prayag stretch was semaphore signalling.

How SER systematically destroyed 12261/62 & 12221/22 is a must know for saving Trains. 12262 & 12222 always gets rescheduled by 6+ hrs. 12261 & 12221 always reaching late by 3 hours. HWH-NGP part is a Never ending Nightmare for passengers. People are taking plan to Nagpur & then Train to Pune & Mumbai from there.
