Train Passed PON at 20.27hrs, As per LP signals are Green/Proceed KVP home signal in proceed aspect, speed at 109-Km/ph LP controlling train to adhere Trailing point 90-Km/ph, meantime crew experienced heavy jerk train entered in to Loop/line & collided with Stabbled stock (BCNE) next to TE, one VPU got fire also 5-6 coaches de-railed.

UP/DOWN movement affected.

Sr.DEE/OP/MAS & CLI's-Meganathan, Kannabiran, Karaunagaran proceeding to spot MRV & MFD will start from MAS

TRAINS DIVERTED

Due to Train accident of Train No.12578 Mysuru - Darbhanga Bagmati Express at Kavaraipettai in Chennai Division today, the following trains are diverted :-

Train No.13351 Dhanbad - Alappuzha that left Dhanbad at 11.35 hrs from Dhanbad on 10th October is diverted to run via Renigunta - Melapalayam - Katpadi, duly skipping stoppages at Nayudupetta, Sulurupettah, Dr MGR Chennai Central and Arakkonam

Train No.02122 Jabalpur - Madurai Superfast Special that left Jabalpur at 16.25 hrs on 10th October 2024 is diverted to run via Renigunta, Melapalayam - Chengalpattu, duly skipping stoppages at Chennai Egmore and Tambaram

Why is this train being run through the BWN-HWH Main line if it is not halting anywhere in between ?
Granted it is a special train and it's priority is bottom low, this decision is baffling !
If run through the HBC line at-least a hour could have been cut off.

Koi logic hi nahi hai. Anyone of NH/BDC should have been given if the train is running through mainline. Kulik ka bhi same hi case hai, no logic of skipping BDC considering how much populated both Hooghly banks are.
