Special team deployed to curb train robberies in Khandala Ghat route

A gang of thieves has been targeting passengers on long-distance trains traveling between Pune and Mumbai during technical halts in the Khandala Ghat section. (GRP) and Railway Police Force (RPF) have deployed a combined team of 14 personnel at five locations in the ghat section to deter these robberies. The GRP has also launched an awareness campaign among passengers to discourage them from opening windows during nighttime travel. The robberies have been reported on trains including the Konark Express, Kalukya Express, Gadag Express, Sai Shirdi Express, and Siddheshwar Express, all of which operate through the ghat section.
