Mizoram: Railway Board inspects construction work of Bhairabi–Sairang New railway line project

Line Project and Agartala – International Connectivity Project. The Sairang New Line project, connecting Mizoram to the rest of India, is almost complete with 93% of work finished. It involves 51.38 km of track, 55 major and 87 minor bridges, and 12853 meters of tunnels, including a 104-meter tall pier on bridge no. 196. The Jiribam – Imphal New Line Project aims to connect Manipur to the rest of India and is also nearing completion. This 111 km project includes 52 tunnels, 11 major and 129 minor bridges, and the world’s tallest railway bridge pier at 141 meters. The Agartala – Akhaura International rail connectivity Project will connect Agartala (India) to Akhaura (Bangladesh) through the Nischintpur immigration station in Tripura. This dual-gauge station will facilitate passenger and goods interchange between India and Bangladesh, boosting tourism, trade, and socio-economic development.

Sairang New Line project, jisko Mizoram ko India ke baaki hisse se connect karna hai, almost complete ho chuka hai aur 93% kaam ho chuka hai. Ismein 51.38 km track, 55 bade aur 87 chhote bridges aur 12853 meters tunnel hai, ismein bridge no. 196 ka 104-meter uncha pier bhi hai. Jiribam – Imphal New Line Project, Manipur ko India ke baaki hisse se connect karna chahta hai, wo bhi almost complete ho chuka hai. Yeh 111 km project 52 tunnels, 11 bade aur 129 chhote bridges aur duniya ka sabse uncha railway bridge pier, 141 meters ka, bana raha hai. Agartala – Akhaura International rail connectivity Project, Agartala (India) ko Akhaura (Bangladesh) se connect karega, Nischintpur (Tripura) mein immigration station se. Yeh dual-gauge station India aur Bangladesh ke beech passenger aur goods ko interchange karega, jisse tourism, trade aur socio-economic development badhega.
