above ground and underground sections. While some sections have been completed, others are still under construction with varying stages of progress. The project is expected to be completed in stages between 2026 and 2028, with the Porur-Poonamallee section opening by the end of 2025 and the Thirumayilai interchange station opening in 2028. Some areas, like OMR and Mylapore, have yet to start construction due to issues like contract awarding and legal challenges. The CMRL is working to overcome these obstacles and resume construction soon.

saal pehle start hua tha aur ismein upar aur neeche dono sections shamil hain. Kuchh sections complete ho gaye hain, lekin kuchh abhi bhi construction ke alag-alag stages mein hain. Project 2026 aur 2028 ke beech alag-alag stages mein complete hone ki ummeed hai, jismein Porur-Poonamallee section 2025 ke end tak open ho jayega aur Thirumayilai interchange station 2028 mein open hoga. Kuchh areas, jaise OMR aur Mylapore mein abhi tak construction start nahi hua hai, kyunki contract awarding aur legal challenges jaisi issues hain. CMRL in issues ko door karne aur jaldi hi construction start karne ke liye kaam kar raha hai.
