Eknath Shinde directed authorities, including the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), police, and district administration, to stay on high alert and provide relief to citizens. The IMD also predicted 'intense to very intense spells of rain' in Thane, Mumbai, and Palghar districts within the next 3-4 hours. Mumbai Police advised citizens to avoid coastal areas and leave their homes only when necessary. Videos shared online showcased waterlogging in various parts of the city and suburbs, including Sanpada, Navi Mumbai and Goregaon West.
