the Forest Department and Railways, aims to reduce elephant fatalities by monitoring a 32 km stretch leading to the Kottekad crossing. The project, costing Rs 15.42 crore, has faced financial hurdles, but the Southern Railway General Manager intervened to facilitate its implementation.
