Officials say that the finishing work takes longer due to the extensive safety measures required inside the tunnel. This includes providing sufficient ventilation and lighting for such a long tunnel. The drainage system built into the tunnel is also facing constant water inflow during construction and will likely continue to be a challenge during the monsoon season. To address this, drainage channels will be built within the tunnel. The Western Railway aims to connect Indore and Dhar by rail by December 2024, and the current work is being done with this target in mind.

more... lambi tunnel hai, jisme dono taraf se khudaai ho rahi hai. Ek taraf ka kaam complete ho chuka hai, aur dusri taraf ka kaam tez chal raha hai. Officials ka kehna hai ki tunnel ke finishing work mein jyada time lagta hai, kyuki usme tunnel ke andar safety related sabhi arrangements karna padte hain. Itni lambi tunnel pe hava ki proper circulation aur roshni ke proper arrangements karna padenge. Pani nikalwane ke liye bani drain mein construction ke time se bhi continuously pani a raha hai aur line chalne ke baad bhi monsoon season mein ye problem bani rahegi. Iske liye tunnel ke andar drain bana ke jal nikalwane ki vyavastha ki jaayegi. Western Railway ne December 2024 se March 2025 ke beech Indore aur Dhar ko rail line se jodne ka target set kiya hai aur current kaam usi ko dhyan mein rakhte hue kiya ja raha hai.
