The deceased was identified as Amit Kumar, a resident of Dudhimati, Koderma, and an employee of Goldi Masala Company. He had traveled to Kolkata on April 18th for work purposes. The deceased was found with a ticket for the journey from Kolkata to Koderma and two mobile phones. After the post-mortem at Sadar Hospital in Koderma, the body was handed over to his family for final rites.
