from Ashok Vihar in Karol Bagh, New Delhi, were presented before the court of Remand Magistrate Vertika Shubhanand on Saturday. The DRI, represented by Special Public Prosecutor Uday Bahadur Singh, secured a 14-day judicial remand for both individuals. The smugglers confessed that the recovered gold was brought from Bangladesh and Myanmar via West Bengal, transported by other smugglers to Varanasi, and they were en route to New Delhi to deliver it to a jeweler. The DRI will further investigate other syndicate members, as the seized gold is of foreign origin and was smuggled. The duo obtained the gold from a person named Chandu through a jewelry store in Varanasi. The DRI will also be questioning jewelers in Varanasi and New Delhi.

Smugglers ne bataya ki recovered gold Bangladesh aur Myanmar se West Bengal aaya tha, phir Varanasi aaya aur woh Delhi mein ek jeweler ko dene ja rahe the. DRI team syndicate ke aur members se bhi poochtaach karegi, kyunki recovered gold foreign origin ka hai aur smuggle kiya gaya hai. Dono ko Varanasi mein Chandu naam ke aadmi ne ek jewellery store se sona diya tha. DRI Varanasi aur Delhi ke jewelers se bhi poochtaach karegi.
