Memorandum mein yeh bataya gaya hai ki narrow-gauge line se broad gauge mein conversion hone ke baad passenger train services kam ho gayi hain, jisse Gola Gokarannath jaane wale pilgrims, Dudhwa National Park jaane wale tourists aur daily commuters ko bahut pareshani ho rahi hai. Memorandum mein pehle chalne wali express trains ko vapas chalane ki maang ki gayi hai, jaise ki Lucknow-Gola Gokarannath-Bareilly-Mathura-Jodhpur route, jiske upar ab sirf ek regular express train (15010 Up aur 15009 Down) Mailani se Gorakhpur tak chalti hai. Committee ne Ayodhya-Varanasi, Mathura aur Jodhpur ke liye do-do express trains ki maang ki hai kyunki travel demand bahut badh gayi hai.
