The petition, filed by Jaydev Kumar and others, argued that the Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation, a state government undertaking, should fill these positions through promotions, as per the JMRC Recruitment and Service Rules 2012, instead of deputation. The petitioners, working as Customer Relations Assistants since 2013, are eligible for promotion to Station Controllers and Train Controllers. They argued that while Delhi and other metros have promotion rules for similar positions, Jaipur Metro lacks such rules, causing unfair treatment to its employees. The court, after hearing the arguments, has asked the metro administration to respond.

Petition, Jaydev Kumar aur dusron ne daala hai, mein unhone argue kiya hai ki Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation, jo ki state government ki undertaking hai, yeh posts ko promotion se bharna chahiye, JMCR Recruitment and Service Rules 2012 ke according, deputation ke badle mein. Petitioners, jo ki 2013 se Customer Relations Assistants ke post pe kaam kar rahe hai, Station Controllers aur Train Controllers ke post pe promotion ke layak hai. Unhone argue kiya ki Delhi aur dusre metros mein aise post ke liye promotion rules hai, lekin Jaipur Metro mein aisa koi rules nahi hai, isse unke employees ko injustice ho raha hai. Court ne, arguments sunne ke baad, metro administration se jawab maanga hai.
